Update of the Update

Well there is now room in the inn (hospital) for me so I called and got a reservation for midnight and if I can come in sooner I can. Hubby is kinda taking a nap till 11:30pm or so, but as of now he's playing with the cats. So I can start the induction tonight which means by tomorrow or Friday (depending on the Bump) I should be a proud parent of a newborn and my own body (at least the bottom half)! More updates soon but need to get stuff ready to go.

PT and a very productive day

I had physical therapy at KP today and it was a race to get to the office on time. I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep and because Puma meowed I thought kitties weren't feed and to help hubby out I put the food bowls down and Puma started to snack and Bindi was mehh to the food. I then couldn't feel Bumpy move and I panicked because of the posts of the women that had to go to L&D because they didn't feel their baby move. I ate sugary donuts and walked around a bit then laid down on my left side and waited for the movement. And around 6:30am it came and I was so happy! Even though I want to see the little person inside of me super bad, I didn't want to get my blood pressure up and in a panic fly to the hospital and have an induction if all it needed was to wake up a little and kick me in the liver to let me know its ok.

So after the morning event, I stayed up a bit and watched some Internet TV and fell back asleep for a while. At 9:15ish am I woke Hubby again and stated we needed to go to PT. He was kinda groggy and stated wasn't it around 2? I was like nope. And we rushed out the door. With my Hospital bag and baby bag in tow. I am now taking my Hospital over night bag and the baby bag, with us when we go out now. I want to be prepared just in case we can't get back home in time. We got TO-GO breakfast because I let him sleep and got there with minutes to spare. Woohoo!

Then we went out to the beach and walked bare foot and put our toes in the water and got back to the car. Then we went to Giggle a place on Chestnut (baby store) and got a few books to start the Bump Library and a few organic oneises with side snaps, dapple soap for bottles and other baby related items (which didn't come with the Skip*Hop dry rack). And the new Belly Bar chews. I got the Citrus flavor but there was also Chocolate. Was in more of the Citrus flavor and they are pretty decent. I'm going to have to remember them for the next pregnancy.

After that we went to Lucca's and got a sandwich each and drove to Stowe Lake and sat in the car and ate and relaxed.

Then we went back home, making a quick stop at a new Trader Joes location. Then went home dropped the foods off and went to Lullaby Lane used the gift card that was given to Bumpy and got a few more burp cloths, two white and two green. Organic of course. We got the canopy (on sale) for Bumpy's co-sleeper, so the cat's can't jump in and sleep with baby. A wipe holder for Hubby and a pull Bear toy that plays "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" that is in SF Giants T-shirt.

After that a stop at Whole Foods to get a few items that I couldn't get any where else and I found the new Belly Bar shakes, got the Vanilla (also there was chocolate as well) and its pretty good. I wouldn't get it every time but wanted to try it.

After this we came home and resting. This weekend we are going to de-clutter and Hubby is going to rearrange the home and put together the Co-Sleeper! I probably will put the canopy on top so it won't be a shock to the cats when its actually in use.

As stated in previous posts, I'm going to SF on Monday night and might come down one night to house sit for the plumber to fix the water situation (that is going to be a happy day).

Took the 38 week Bump picture and will post it tomorrow so all can see that it might be getting bigger or not. I have given up hope that I will be able to take maternity pictures this pregnancy, but I am going to take one with the help of Hubby this weekend. Hopefully I can get some one to do what I want done with the photo as its post production anyways. Basically what I saw some one do was a baseball jersey that was in color but the rest was in black and white. I thought that was cool and want to replicate that, but with the SF Giants. Hubby says he can try to do it but I am keeping the original just in case something goes wrong.

April 12, 18 more days to go

MOO! Did I mention MOO! That's how it feels today.

We (mostly hubby) got a lot accomplished today with the boxes. Even unboxing a box that was destined to go to a friend of mine. I realized that while I was looking at the items on the shelf in the bedroom. So I need to find a box again that will hold the small items for me to actually send it to her. I don't know if she'll be in the bay area anytime soon.

Got the renal car again, the Rav4. Hubby is going to miss some work next week for Jury Duty, so mostly this week is crunch week for what ever he needs to do in the office. I will be on my own in the city this week going to the doctor's office, so I will need to be dependent on myself for the first time in two months with out hubby at the side wanting to take the wheel if I need a break.

Then next week we will go back down to one car again. Hopefully the OB won't want to see me for another two weeks or a tad bit more. I am at the point were the doctor would want to see me every two weeks and after that every week soon.

A visit to L&D triage

For a 24 hr period I had some brown spotting when I go potty and thought to call the advice nurse. When I did that this afternoon, they had to transfer to Labor and Delivery as in my 3rd tri they wanted to see me as soon as I could be there. There was only one hitch, Hubby has the only car. So I had to wait for him to come home. The good news at least he didn't have to go hungry, I stopped at a pizza place before all of the mega drama and got a pizza and bread sticks so he was fed.
Back to the story, so when he came and picked me up and we got to the City, hubby dropped me off and I truged to the 3rd floor where L&D is located and got buzzed in. Hubby came in a little after wards by the securty gaurd asking me if he was my Hubby. Of course I said yes (I wasn't going to say no, but I wanted to) and we sat in the waiting room for a few seconds and were escorted in. Hooked up to a fetal moniter and had 1 contraction while I was monitered. Then after a half hour or so the doctor came in and did an internal exam (uncomfortable because of my back and everything that went a long with it) and took swabs to look for some cause that I could be there with the spotting. Turns out that I have a slight bacterial infection (got meds for) and got to see Bumpy's local in my tummy. Breach as of today. It can turn at any point but it's head looked perfect, heart pumping and growing big. The doctor got a picture (super small) and printed it out for me and I got a picture of the fetal heart rate strip. I'll put the pictures up as soon as I can, but can't say 100% when. I got some Meds and was sent home for the night to only return if I have some other issues like real bleeding and labor pains.

For me it was funny because when the advice nurse, L&D nurses and the doctor asked if I was having back or leg pains I stated that I was in a car accident a month ago so it was hard to distingous what was what!

In 7 1/2 months 1 ER visit (1 non baby related car accident), 1 L&D admit (see 1 NBR), 1 L&D triage watch and I still have 2 months to go after this!

Sleepy even after a 3 hr nap

3rd day at work and thinking I should have signed up for 2 more months of stay at home pregnant lady (Human stay at home Cat). Then again I don't know what I would have done for 2 more months besides look through boxes and drive Hubby nuts and going to KP and finding out I had no benefits, then going to work to give them moneys to give me benefits again. Work hasn't been that bad. I got my work caught up for the first time since I left on Friday Feb. 13th and I feel a little better but I think its going to explode again once I leave for the 12 weeks.

Baby is doing just fine. Every where I go at work, people say "your so big". I feel that it's not a compliment as a statement of people being aware that I am actually pregnant. I feel like I need to put a "Wide Load" and a "Makes wide turns" statement like the trucks on my back to just feel like I give people enough warning to move out of my way in hallways and through doors. And off and on when I am talking on the phone Bumpy is kicking me so I have to take a brake from speaking for a second. I think its Bumpy saying "Shut up! I am trying to grow!" But I can't really speak for some one inside me.

Can go back to work!

Saw PCP MD today and got the yellow light to go back. Still not 100% more like 75-80% but I keep hearing the music play that I won't be back into fighting shape until after Bumpy is born. I also gained 5 lbs from 200lbs to 205.0(which is more like 3 lbs don't trust KP Scales as much I need to have my own), but I need another weigh in because of TMI (To Much Information) and I don't think its all baby. I have been on a "I am hungry binge" for the last week. I think bump is growing! I have the get out of work if I need it card as well so if I go back and find that I am having troubles I can call PCP and she will see what she can do.

As I have stated Bump has been very active, but no kick counters yet for me. I think its more active at night when I am trying to get comfy to sleep. For the past two days it has let hubby's hand feel the power of the kick or punch (no U/S to see where the direction of the head is) at night before he collapses into deep sleep.

I would like Gerber to approve the Pledges I made yesterday on their site but I guess there are so many mom's out there that are making these it is taking them a while.

I just realized

I just realized that I didn't get a Kick Counter from my OB yesterday. :( That means I have to wait a whole month if I am to ask her about having one. I have books and download sheets that can be printed up but not the official one from KP. I wanted one like my SIL, she has one for her son when he was a fetus. NARF! I hate waiting till the next appointment to ask about it.

MD Visit

Went to KP and was told that I was measuring 27/28 weeks right on target! And the heart beat is 145ish range. I wasn't paying too much attention but now I feel bad about not knowing the exact bpm's. With me I did pass the Gestational Diabetes test so I don't have to worry about taking the 3 hr test, shots or special diets! Which I was worried about only because the baby and I become a "high risk" labeled pregnancy. And that is no good!

I am in SF for two days (going home in the evenings) because hubby can't afford to take the time off as much as he wants to with the move and because of my lack of working right now. More a little later.

going to test "my sugars"

Going to SF Kaiser to see if I have Gestational Diabeteis. I don't think I do because when the accident occured the ambulance tec stated that my sugar at that time was 89 which was in the normal range.

SIL is going to a bachelortte party so I take back the wonder-con thing I said. Plus I think she would take Hubby as well.

PS We are a go for the move!!! More later!

Mobile Blogging from here.

A very busy weekend for us and hubby

Well as the kitties snore in sound sleep and bumpy is chill'in in the deep dark cavern that is my uterus, hubby was looking forward to a blissful weekend of a Honey-take-me (fill in the blank) and Wonder-con and a baby show (that was one of the take me places.) but he was going to have Wonder-con Saturday since the baby show is also on Sunday. But I need to go to the hospital's lab and take the glucose tolerance test that is the hour long wait. I was thinking he could sit with me and after put me on the train to at least come close to the house and walk home. And he would have an uninterrupted day at Wonder-con, at least till he got fed up with the fan boys/girls and came home with some comic books and a few pens and then pass out on the couch.

But alas, the weekend was shanghaied by Hubby's BIL calling him asking for some help with the Nephew on Saturday. I suspect that Hubby's sister is going to wonder-con herself and didn't invite Hubby to go with her and her best friend because of my lack of transport, mobility (which is getting a lot better), just my fault.

I have decided to start taking my meds again which is a wise decision since I have been putting them off for over 1 1/2 trimesters. I was sick with morning sickness and because of the high risk of heart defects I wanted to wait till at least everything was A-OK with Bumpy before I took the plunge. I think now is good for that. Getting into the 3rd trimester everything is in place. 1 Strong heart, 2 kidneys, 1 liver, 1 tummy, the brains and the rest of the body parts are in place and kicking. I may have a little worry about the heart still but its been 6 months and green lighted so far. (Crosses my fingers and toes!)

Hubby's daddy gift comes today. It might cheer him up if I give it to him sooner rather than later and make him wear it on the day of my shower. MUAHAHAHA!

One month of rest and recovery

Went to MD's and got to see physical Therapist and my PCP! I have exercises to do while at home and to get range of motion back to my right side.

On a AC/DC note next week will usher in the third trimester and a big growth spurt for the big day! I will post a belly pic soon. It has been sleeping and moving around a bit but mainly sleeping and being good in my belly while I sleep.

Staying home for a week MD's orders

Well I tried to survive last week at work with my back the way it is since the auto accident, each day getting progressively sleeper and in pain for most of it. I tried making appointments with my PCP but of course because I don't have a car or a unlimited cash fund for a taxi I couldn't make it till Friday. So I am at home this week and because I need to see the Physical Therapist and my PCP again to evaluate me to see if one week will be enough time off of work to recover at least some mobility so I can drive (which I don't think so but PCP may have other ideas and opinions.

Happy Valentines day! Me and Hubby did something real special for the Grand parents but until I can send the cards out I can't say what we did. But it is very nice and we put a lot of thought in to the cards.

This week marks the 24th week of Bumpy's residency in side my womb. It also means if the MD's need to get Bumpy out it will be at better odds to survive on its own, all be it a premie and in the NICU for a while, but we are hoping for the best case where it comes out in a little over 15 weeks from now. Surreal. Its been kicking me and punching me most of the time so its getting ready for the big day.

I got a lot of yarn from Hubby's mom this past week. Its a multi colored kind that I made a few scarfs out of last winter when we went to see his mom last winter. I will post the finished blanket when it is done. It might not be done till May or even June, but its going to be something that is very nice and I think Bumpy will love it. I have a quilt that was made by me, hubby, SIL and Ivy, but mostly everyone is going to say it was made with love by mommy. It was my idea to make a patchwork quilt with squares of Winnie the Pooh fabric, but after I cut the pieces, and started to pin it to where I would like it, I saw that they pre-made some quilt fabric I was ticked because I would have had to do is sew the backing on and been done a lot sooner. Mostly I like mine better and I think Bumpy will like it too.

KP Visit

Went to Kaiser today with Hubby to go to my prenatal visit that was scheduled today. I was really sore and stiff. The car ride was ok till a sudden stop or a jerk in any direction and I felt each movement. I have trouble with Hubby's car getting in and out because it is a low car. The OB was very happy that the baby's heartbeat is going strong and I actually gained 10 lbs from 4 weeks ago. So net wise I have gained 18 lbs so far. Baby is to be a pound right now so I think I am right on track. Pictures of the accident, the car and the ID bracelet coming soon. No new pictures of Bump (LBJ/ACDC).

Car Accident part 2

So after the few hours of requesting water (10 or 11 times) I actually got water and a tray of hospital food. Which has improved since my mother brought them home from work. Yes, my mother did that. Except for the veggies which I think could be improved a bit, they were stuck in the late '80's early '90's still. Well tasted like that anyways. They stated that my tests were ok but I needed more water in my system, I reminded them that I tried to get water several times today so my body didn't feel so thirsty but I needed like 400ccs of water (1 of their pitchers full) every half a day if not more. I got realised at 11 pm and me and hubby wanted to go home and hubby got some fast food because he didn't eat foods all day except for bits of the chicken I forced him to eat because of him not eating the whole night too. Picture of me in a neck brace and what my car looks like now coming soon.

Car Accident

This afternoon I was going home and when I was fully stopped waiting for a left turner to turn left and all I hear is screching tires and a second later I was flying forward and slightly hitting the car infrount of me. I called emergency 911 and got an ambulance to come because of Bumpy and my neck hurt alot. I was strapped to the board due to the head rest hit the back of my neck. The car might be a loss because they had to tow the car because it wouldn't start after I turned it off as the police requested. I was taken to KP in redwood city. Which I find out actually has a L&D de partment contrary to SSFO KP. I kept asking for Jeremy and water. I was't told when the cop called Jeremy if he was told what KP I was at. I called and he was on his way and when he got there I asked him to called my dad because he needed to know and to call the insurance to get started on the claim. He couldn't do it but if he could he would.
It took them an hour I'd say or longer to get me out of the head board and cat-scaned. The doc stated he wanted me xrayed but some how his orders were not taken. I was discharged from the ER and taken to the 2nd floor to L&D. There they hooked me up to a fetal heart and contraction monitor and Hubby got to hear the HB (152 per min) for the first time. He was happy but wasn't too happy that he heard it at the hospital when I was injured. More tomorrow I am very tired.
