Happy Turkey day

I know its been a couple of days and I haven't posted. HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Hopefully with the 1st trimester gone I can get more energy and bound my way to a post or two a day. I will post pic to show the latest update on Bump. Its more defined and looking sideways now.

Didn't get to schedule the 1st tri screening. Stupid time to be in Kaiser. Got the Blood work done though. I hopefully can get some thing done on the 4th but I'm not sure if its going to pan out correctly. There is always the 2nd tri Triple Screen. Woot feel like a misqueto is always looking for me. Oh and the Doc stated that I was slightly anemic. Need to get some more Iron in the diet along with supplements.

Going to see the latest Bond and some friends today. Post more later with pictures.

Another ultra sound

We went to another doctor's appointment today. It was our second scheduled appointment (Amanda's last visit was a follow up to an ER visit).

There were actually two appointments for today. The first was a pregnancy counseling consultation prior to the OB/GYN visit. The first ran a little long and that made it seem as if our second appointment was a bit hurried. We did get one picture of the little one but that was it. Maybe Amanda can post it in the next few days.

Before heading home we stopped by the new Henry's Hunan restaurant on Church street. Jeff and his brother Eddie have finally got the new spot open. It was a bit crowded with a few neighborhood hipsters checking out the new place. As to the quality of food, it lived up to the same bar set by the other Henry's restaurants. I am sure it will be a regular stop for us on our visits to SF.

Going to look at reg. items today

Today me and hubby are going to look at some baby stores and look at potential items to put on the reg. I don't think I am going to start one this early because I wanted to get to the 12 week at least and then with the holidays and winter cloths. It might be in January before any of the reg stuff gets started. By then the winter cloths will be on sale and spring and summer cloths start to appear. Also if there are any items that show up that I really must have. Also I have learned from the wedding regs that you don't want to place stuff that might be discontinued before the invite goes out. I know some of the things I want aren't going to be discontinued but the things that have been I have all ready stashed away in my Bump box.

A week ago on Sunday the 16th me and hubby went to his work for some OT he needed to do and I went to Mervyans and got a blanket and another Eeyore plushy blanket for the bump.

update on the health. Pretty healthy haven't gotten sick, but have thrown up every morning (except for today *knocks on hubby's head*) this week and thrown up every night. I don't understand! Its the 12th week. I might have a girl in the oven. But not going to find out till birth time. I might have the doctor take a picture and put it in an envelope and send it out to people. by request and they can not tell me or they will not be able to see bump for a year. or two depending. Hubby's on the fence about that rule.

Gif of all now see if I have a URL to post this some where else.

Made this while home tired from the day all ready. I don't want to skip work but I don't want to go to work. I have been on the up and down of throwing up not throwing up coaster. I got a Camelbak which is a nifty sippy cup/water bottle for adults. Though its pink (the only color they had at the Hippy store (Whole foods) its actually good at saving my head from a splash of water while I am in the car trying to get a drink of water.

Why is this so hard?

So its week 10/11 and I have been off and on getting better and getting worse at the same time. Its hard for me to operate at work at 1pm. Luckily I get out an hour and a half later but as this pregnancy goes on I am finding it difficult to see the "bright" side. I want this trimester to be over with. I have been more aware that I might be having a girl but it won't be confirmed until I heave at work when its in January. Joy.

Yesterday Jeremy and I sat and talked about thanksgiving menus. That was after me taking a shower, and during throwing up and then continuing to take a shower. Wee. I only wish Morning sickness on a few select people with their high beams on and tail gating my car at 5:40 in the mornings.

Back to thanksgiving, Any one is welcomed we will be having the following:
Home made Cranberries
Hunter Stuffing
Turkey parts
Sweet potato's and the bitty marshmallows
Biskets
Green Beans
and if I feel a lot better in two weeks
Egg Nog Pumpkin Pie-lets.

Hopefully scratch and sniff computer screens come about in two weeks because it is going to smell GOOD!

I found out some good news

So it turns out that Hubby's groomsman and wife are having their second in February when I thought I'd give birth. Because I wanted to get preggie in May (our wedding) and I guess it wasn't us who were the only ones that got busy that night. {wink} Also hubby's friend is due in March so I need to know some one who's due in January, April and May then I have the 6 month block of babies.

Was feeling tired all last week. Every one says it will get better in two to three weeks but It seems like a long time from now. On the baby front I have done nothing to "nest". Because money is tight and our house is small its going to be hard to get the things we are going to need for baby. I am hoping that I can work from home for most of the maternity leave so I am picking up some extra cash during the time I am away from work and Hubby's job is less than 50 people so he can't have paternity leave nor the family leave act doesn't apply to him. Its an up hill battle. Hopefully we are going to get by but since I can't do as much OT my paycheck is going to take a hit as well. Its time for sleep. Hopefully I can have hubby take a belly shot and show all that its becoming more than just a bloated tummy.

Bump Pictures coming soon and maybe the end of Morning sickness

Went to the MD office today to see if I would have to put a sad face in this post but I get to put a HAPPY smile and two mehh pictures of bump. Bump measured 9 weeks 5 days which is better than 8 weeks and change the way the MD first measured Bump. But I saw a heart beat and Bump didn't play nice because it was moving around so much. I didn't like the MD that came in and helped the MD out. Once they got a good measure she shut the U/S down and printed only one copy of the good picture.

I don't want to state anything, but for the last two days I have been feeling better haven't thrown up and just the occasional wave of nausea. *knock on wood* that I feel better and it goes away for the next 6 months.

Vital stat: I lost one pound, but its been either every day or every other day to up chuck in the potty or the bathroom sink. Oye! This past Saturday I clogged the sink because when I was brushing my teeth Blech!. Happy news all around.

Cat Note: The 5 1/2 month old and the 2yr old are now using one potty in the kitchen. Having the small potty next to the bed room only because the 5 1/2 month old was too small to hold it to the big potty in time. So we kept it close so she wouldn't have hold it and get bladder problems. But we are happy to report that she doesn't have problems and growing big and now only uses the big potty with her step brother.

Not posted in a while

Sorry about the long delay in the posts. Wednesday I felt all crappy because of morning sickness woot. And Here is what happened Thursday into Friday:

Thursday morning, woke up and threw up my morning miso soup, the previous day I had thrown up the snap crackle pop in the front of the building and next to my car. Back to Thursday, I had appearly popped a blood vessel in my eye the right one because every one was asking about it when I got to work. I didn't notice it because I rarely look into a mirror after I throw up. Felt tired all day and then went to SIL's home to help "The Boy's" with the new ipod shuffle we gave the nephew for his birthday. Stayed there till around 5 or so because the power was off and I was feeling tired and didn't want to get stuck in traffic and needed to feed the cats we have at home.

Hubby came home around the usual time and was getting ready for bed around 8:30 when I went potty and saw some spotting down there; I was very scared. Cramps the MDO had stated were normal, any spotting was not. So I told hubby we needed to go ER. He was very deer in the headlights and went to auto pilot mode. He and I debated for a few seconds of what hospital to go to because we are in between S-SF and Redwood City and I didn't want to go to General and then be taken by ambulance to a Kaiser that I should have gone to in the first place.

Got to S-SF Kaiser about 9:15ish and placed my name to be seen. An hour and 15 mins later we were called back and asked why we were here and I explained that I was worried that I was having a miscarriage because I was spotting around 8:30. The nurse took my BP and temp and told me to register and then paid my ER visit co-pay and went to wait again in the waiting room. 11pm came and around and at 11:30 we were told to come in. I was taken to a private room and told to disrobe to nothing and to put a gown on and pee in a cup, then was stuck with a two way needle, the ER nurse that did it put it in and guess had some gauze stuck in the valve part because there was a slight spill and she had to undue the valve a smige to get the gauze out. After that blood was drawn and then was told I was going to get IV fluids and then get checked. I was placed on the monitor and every 15 minutes my arm was squeezed and hear the constant beep of my heart rate.

Every so often Hubby got a look at the time because he hadn't slept either and we wondered when we were going to leave. It was around 1 am when the first bag of fluid started to drain and I needed to pee. The nurse unhooked me and went potty. I got back to see hubby had placed the heart monitor on his finger and stated that he got his heart beat to 56 BPM. Thought that was impressive. My BMP hovered around 67 the lowest I could get it. Hubby wanted me to get some sleep so after the second bag was attached, after the connections broke lose and caused a little spill on the bed and was given warm blankets, and Hubby was seated more comfortably and next to the gurney, I tried to get into a comfortable spot and went to sleep for an hour and a half. Hubby at the end of my sleep was keeping an eye out for the fluids in the IV as the nurse stated to actually harm me by air in the tube it would have to be the whole tube of air. He delayed calling the nurse because I guess my body had enough liquid and was more slowly taking in the fluid.

After that was unhooked it took another hour or two before the doctor came in and said that they didn't have a sonagram or any tech on call or any equipment to see the baby inside of me. For that I would have to see the OB person or have went to SF or Redwood City. Me and Hubby were like Great! because we thought all Kaiser's had the facilities to at least the ER stocked with all the equipment for emergency's at least. But they didn't and it enlightened Hubby of why SIL went to SF instead of this one for the nephew to be born.

The MD said my beta results were right were they expected them to be when she did finally get to see me and stated that every thing looked great and since I wasn't bleeding out there wasn't too much she could do. She took some more samples to see if everything was in the right levels and then left. Around 4:30 am we were told to go to a different room because it was their only OB GYN bed and I guess they were in need of it for some one else. I moved and was given fresh warm blankets and at 5 the doctor said there were a few white blood cells around but she would want me to contact my OB to get a sonagram image of how Bump was developed at this stage. I was discharged and got to put on my clothes again and went home. Only to turn around and go to work. I did get a note from the MD stating that I could stay home but I had taken Monday off and it didn't feel like using PTO again for an excused absence. Plus it was halloween so I didn't want to miss the first halloween at work for me. And if I needed to go home early I would have a note that I could.

2:30pm and went directly home. Hubby was there and he stated that his work sent him home because they saw how tired he was and asked him why he came to work as well. At 2:45 I asked for Pho and took a long nap. We both woke up about 6:30 and was wondering if it was AM or PM. It turned out to be the same day PM and Hubby got Pho for me and a buritto for him. Around 9pm as Hubby tells me I was out on the chouch and then sent me off to bed.

Woke up today a little bit tired but feeling much better that Thurs-iday and happy that I have bump safe and sound. And this is in the history books. And no more trips to S-SF Kaiser ER!
